Message from Mrs. DeGrand: (New!) It was so fun to experience last week's solar eclipse with the students! Thank you, to those who picked up early, for your patience as our office staff worked to round up your kiddo. It was a busy and exciting day! This Thursday, April 18, 2024, we will host a 4th and 5th grade Parent/Guardian informational meeting on Adolescent Health. This will be an IN PERSON meeting in the Heritage Cafeteria at 6:30 PM. (This is for parents/guardians, NOT students.) The format is as follows: 1. Short presentation on content delivery 2. Grade specific video viewing 3. Q/A Session **If you cannot attend, we will have the presentation, content and videos available for viewing following the meeting. Please call the Heritage Office to schedule a time to drop in. You will have the option to opt your student out of these lessons before instruction begins. In partnership, Megan DeGrand
HERITAGE MUSIC NEWS: (NEW!) 4th Grade Families 4th Graders are learning about their music options for next fall: band, choir, and orchestra. Please review their interests and the slides that are emailed home each week. The music selection form will be emailed to parents on Tuesday, April 23 and will be due on Friday, April 26 indicating your student's top three choices. 5th Grade Families Parents should watch for emails from your child's music teacher coming this week. Emails will include concert date reminders and information about 6th-grade music scheduling. Please read this information carefully and note important deadlines. Thank you! Annual District Quality Survey: Heritage will participate this week! The District wants to hear your thoughts on critical school issues, including academic support, student support, family involvement, school/district leadership, safety, and behavior. Your feedback on this survey helps guide our work. This is one of the surveys the District facilitates annually in order to collect feedback from stakeholders using a systemic approach. You can learn more about the timing of annual District surveys here. Students in 3rd-12th grades will be invited to take this survey within the April 8-26 timeframe. Parents/guardians can preview the student surveys below. If you prefer your child not participate in this survey, please reach out to your child's building principal.
