Message from Mrs. DeGrand: (New!) Dear Families, I am asking you to vote in tomorrow's May 2nd election. Saline Area Schools will be on the ballot for an operating millage renewal. This is not a BOND, it is a 10 year millage renewal proposal that is part of the normal, day-to-day, funding structure for all Michigan School Districts. If you only own one home, you would NOT pay this millage. It would be paid by second home owners, businesses and all other non-principal residence property owners. It would help SAS continue to generate a little over $8.5 million dollars for the GENERAL OPERATING budget (the budget that helps pay for teachers and other staff members) on an annual basis for the next 10 years. More information about this millage renewal proposal can be found by going to www.salineschools.org and by clicking on the pop-up button “Millage Renewal 2023.” If you already voted by absentee, thank you. Again, please vote in tomorrow's May 2nd election. In partnership, Megan DeGrand
Attention all Heritage families: Field Day 2023 (New!) Field Day is fast-approaching and we are asking for parent-volunteers to help run stations. Field Day will be on Friday, May 26th with a rain date of Tuesday, May 30th. Please use this Heritage Field Day 2023 link to see the stations students will be able to choose from, the time schedule for the day, and sign up in a volunteer slot if you are able! You can choose to volunteer during your child's time-slot only, OR sign up for both time slots in 4th or 5th grade. Each station will have a chair for the volunteer to sit on and a short description of the station you will be running. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of your time slot to ensure we are ready before the students begin their Field Day.
