Ele's Place Partnership: (New!) We are grateful to once again partner with Ele's Place to support students who have experienced the loss of a loved one. In order to get a pulse on who would benefit from this partnership, Ele's place invites students to take a "Student-Self Identification Survey". Teachers will administer the survey in class. The survey looks like this: We realize that every family handles loss differently and, if you do not want your student to take this survey, please let your child's teacher or I ([email protected]) know. We will take this survey on Wednesday, November 15th. Standards Based Learning at Heritage: Heritage made a shift to Standards Based Learning (SBL) at the beginning of the 22/23 school year. We will continue to use this model of grading for the 23/24 school year, with a broadened scale for more pointed feedback. The new scale is below and alongside it is a "companion document" that may help to explain SBL and the reasoning behind tracking student progress in this way. You can expect to see this scale on the trimester 1 report cards.
