Please let Mrs. Hayes know if you have any questions - [email protected] Girls on the Run is back! Registration is now open for the Girls on the Run program, featuring a brand NEW curriculum, at Heritage! Unique from other after-school programs, the Girls on the Run program for 4th and 5th grade participants follows an evidence-based model that builds confidence, teaches life skills and healthy habits, and inspires joy through movement. The research-based curriculum led by trained volunteer coaches explores core topics relevant to young people, including: · Understanding emotions · Fostering friendships · Expressing empathy · Standing up for ourselves Our caring coaches and empowering curriculum create a sense of belonging for all participants and meet the vital needs of today’s girls. And this season, we are thrilled to offer a refreshed version of our classic proven curriculum that 98% of caregivers said their child enjoyed and felt welcomed and included. GOTR's intentional curriculum addresses the negative issues that girls are experiencing — including record-high levels of youth depression and anxiety reported by the CDC — and faces them head-on. This is achieved through a blend of intentional group discussions, fun physical activities, and community impact projects. Starting the week of March 17th, our team will meet every Monday and Wednesday from 3:50-5:20 pm. We offer a sliding scale registration fee which includes 16 lessons/practices, a t-shirt, water bottle, cinch sack, journal, healthy snack at each session, a beautiful 5K medal and more!
